This technique is widely used to improve the performance of critical parts like gears, bearings, and other complex-shaped components.

Carburizing works by diffusing carbon into the surface layer of low carbon steel or high alloy steel parts after machining. This creates a hardened “case” while preserving a softer, more ductile core. The result is a part that is highly wear-resistant on the outside but retains impact resistance and structural integrity inside—ideal for heavy-duty and precision applications.
